From the opening puck drop, the Dolphins established a relentless offensive presence, outshooting the Tigers 49-10 over the course of the game. The scoring started early and never relented, with Grace Van Volsen opening the floodgates just over halfway through the first period, assisted by Sofia Ismael. Adrianna Milani then took over, netting two quick goals in under a minute to give the Dolphins a 3-0 lead after the first frame. The Tigers, struggling to generate offense, were held to just three shots in the period.
The second period saw the Dolphins continue their onslaught, even while shorthanded. The physicality of the game increased late, resulting in a double minor for head contact to the Dolphins' Rachel Piggott in the final minute. However, it did nothing to dampen the celebration for the home side.
